The Coronavirus situation has been nothing short of a disaster for me. Taking on the Rhydypennau Inn at the start of the year was a huge undertaking but I was totally confident of making it work and now feel like the rug has been pulled from under my feet. When the situation improves, I will hopefully be able to start building again but it is going to be a slow and difficult process. The positive thing for pubs and other live music venues is that once the current restrictions are lifted, the public are going to want to get out of the house and be entertained. As you can imagine, I am going to have enough on my plate building the business back up but at the same time, I need to ensure that I offer an experience to my punters that is second to none and going forward that is going to have to involve regular live music to keep me ahead of the game. I’ve used Haka several times before and the beauty of dealing with them is that it they do all of the organising meaning I just get a top quality act turning up and playing without a massive amount of involvement from me. Dealing with Huw and the team is always a pleasure and considering nobody else from the area is doing this sort of thing, I see their services as pivotal for businesses like me as we try and slowly recover from these unprecedented events.
