Award winning baritone, John Ieuan Jones, trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, and has worked with some of the UK’s leading opera companies.
His versatile voice and warm personality makes him a popular performer on the concert platform, and has performed throughout the UK, in Europe and the USA. Recent highlights include an Opera Gala at the Bridgewater Hall, his solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall at the London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs, being a guest soloist at the North America Festival of Wales in Washington DC and last year he shared the stage with Sir Bryn Terfel at the Millennium Centre, in the opening concert of the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
In addition to all of this, Ieuan has made several television and radio appearances including performances on ‘Noson Lawen’, ‘Heno’ and ‘Prynhawn Da’ and in the 2019 National Eisteddfod of Wales, was a pundit for one of the major singing awards. His recordings include the world premiere of the opera ‘Dorothy’ by Cellier, and in 2020 he will release his first solo album.
Ieuan is also an accomplished harpist, having performed for the Prime Minister and members of the Royal family.

Ymhlith yr uchafbwyntiau diweddar mae Gala Opera yn Neuadd Bridgewater, ei ymddangosiad cyntaf yn y Royal Albert Hall yng Ngŵyl Corau Meibion Cymru yn Llundain, cael bod yn unawdydd gwâdd yng Ngŵyl Cymru Gogledd America yn Washington DC a rhannodd lwyfan gyda Syr Bryn Terfel yng Nghanolfan y Mileniwm, yng nghyngerdd agoriadol Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru, Bae Caerdydd 2018.
Mae ei recordiadau’n cynnwys première byd yr opera ‘Dorothy’ gan Cellier, ac yn 2020 rhyddhaodd ei albwm unigol cyntaf.
Mae Ieuan hefyd yn delynor medrus, ac wedi perfformio i’r Prif Weinidog ac aelodau o’r teulu Brenhinol.
