Triano formed during the pandemic in 2020, when the girls competed in the virtual Urdd Eisteddfod T as an instrumental ensemble and were awarded 2nd place. The trio all played the one piano at the same time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then Triano have had some amazing opportunities to perform on stage, both singing and continuing to play the piano as a trio.
Charlotte, Jessica and Emily have performed with singers such as Bryn Fon, Dafydd Iwan, Rhys Meirion, Gwawr Edwards and Robyn Lyn to name just a few. They have also had the opportunity to accompany Gwawr and Robyn on the piano, and play a duet with Rhys Taylor, whilst he played the clarinet. Triano’s debut performance for Haka was at The Courtyard, in Aberystwyth with Gwawr Edwards and other local talent.
In 2022 their piano playing took them to the Urdd Eisteddfod in Denbigh, which gave them a wonderful opportunity to perform on the stage this time, instead of virtually. They have supported Ceredigion Music Services through performing at a Ukraine Fundraising event at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, and when the town recently welcomed the Knife Angel in June, the girls were asked to sing at the opening ceremony on behalf of Aberystwyth Town Council. Triano will also be performing in the National Eisteddfod in Tregaron, in two stage shows with Theatr Felinfach, a choir performing in the Daniel Owen Award Ceremony and as a trio, both singing and playing the piano, on the Entertainment Stage.
