Mae Morgan Elwy y cerddor a’r cyfansoddwr o Ddyffryn Clwyd yn adnabyddus am ei alawon bachog a geiriau cofiadwy. Bellach yn enw cyfarwydd ar draws Cymru mae ei set ddwyieithog o ganeuon reggea, pop a rock yn siwr yn lewnwi’r enaid hefo chwa o awyr iach.
Mae Morgan a’r band yn cynnwys drymiau, gitar a bâs gyda piano a harmoniau lleisiol. Yn ogystal bydd Morgan weithiau yn gwneud set solo sy’n cynwys gitar, Loop Pedal a llwyth o ganeuon codi calon.
Morgan Elwy the mellow melody maker from Clwyd released his debut album in May 2021. The album has a lot going on instrumentally, and the production is out of this world. The layered guitar strumming, the richness of the percussion and the harmonies make you want more. The retro keys in the background, with some vocals fading in and out provides an entertaining listening experience. Morgan Elwy used reggae as a base, developed it and made it his own by adding pop and folk elements to it. The fact that it is sung in Welsh makes it all the better, it sounds as if reggae has always been written this way. Bach O Hwne is one of those songs that you cannot get out of your head for a whole day.
