Erin Fflur is a Welsh Mezzo-Soprano from Y Felinheli in North Wales.
Erin graduated from The Royal Northern College of Music in 2020 where she gained a first class Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies and Opera (Hons) degree and a Distinction in a Masters in Music (Performance) degree under the tutelage of Louise Winter. Erin’s Operatic Roles include Catrin in The Welsh National Opera’s production of Wild Cat, Ruth in Forebear’s production of The Pirates of Penzance and Cousin Hebe in The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company’s production of H.M.S Pinafore.
During her time at college her operatic roles include – Madame de la Haltiere in Cendrillon, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, Leonie in La Vie Parissienne, Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia, Mere Marie and Souer Valentine in Dialogues de Carmelites and Minskwoman in Flight. Erin was as a member of the chorus for Llangollen’s International Eisteddfod production of Sweeney Todd staring Bryn Terfel. Whilst in college she was a chorus member in numerous production.
Over the last couple of years Erin has been fortunate to work with The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company and Wexford Festival Opera as a member of their chorus. She feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue her work with them in their up-coming festivals. Erin is well known on the stage in Wales, in 2018 she performed with Mid Wales Opera in Pontio, Bangor performing in their Operatif, that year she also appeared as a soloist and as a duet on Noson Lawen. She also feels very privileged to have travelled Europe to perform. In 2019 she performed in a tour around Germany as a soloist in Schwanheim, Taunsstein, Sindlingen and Kronenburg. She was also chosen as a soloist for The Capital Danube Cruise in 2020 performing on the river cruise from Vienna to Budapest.
Erin was honoured to be chosen as the soloist in early 2020 to perform with the famous Black Dyke Band in their concert in The Brass Band Festival at The Royal Northern College of Music performing The Age of Kings by Edward Gregson.
