Mariclare Carey-Jones is a talented Presenter and Broadcast Journalist, who has travelled the world filming television and radio shows. Her great passions are wildlife and rural affairs.
Mariclare can currently be heard presenting and reporting for Radio 4’s Farming Today programme and for Country Focus on BBC Radio Wales. She also recently presented a documentary film called ‘Saving Gentle Giants’ about elephant conservation in Laos, and she presented a series called Animal Sanctuary for the Made Television Network. In addition, Mariclare has been a guest on The One Show on BBC One talking about tortoise conservation, and she has fronted many news features on countryside issues for ITV.
Alongside her television and radio work, Mariclare has hosted a range of live events from red carpet functions and awards ceremonies, to panel discussions and conferences. Her clients for event hosting have included Farmers’ Union of Wales, Newport Food Festival, Cardiff Book Festival, University of South Wales, Royal College of Nursing and House 21, to name but a few.
Mariclare supports a range of animal charities including the International Tortoise Association and the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary, as well as volunteering for the Frenchie & Friends dog rescue. She is also an Ambassador for the Marie Curie Cardiff and Vale Hospice.
